Help me help her
So, my friend SuziSuzi who was in dire straights before is now in even direr straights.

That may not be a word but it should be.

While I'm looking into alternatives, she's gotten it into her head that the best course of action for her would be to sell her car and move to Seattle. Now to the best of my knowledge she doesn't actually know anyone up there, she doesn't have a job lined up, and she doesn't have anywhere to live. Her money will be tied up in getting there and surviving until she gets settled and most of that weill be whatever she got from her car.

My own take on this is that it's a bad idea. That and Seattle smells like fish; I tell everybody moving there this.

I went once as a kid and other than a few sketchy memories of a Ripley's Believe It or Not / Wax Museum I remember everything smelled like fish.

Go figure.

Cany anybody recommend stuff for her to look into or go when she gets up there, if I can't find something supportive for her down here? Despite the ID·tag I've assigned her, SuziSuzi's really good people. She's just having a hard time of it is all.

Looking for a Bassist
Hey guys... I've tried everywhere else (ok that's just silly and impossible), so I thought I'd try this :) Let me know if interested. Thanks!

P.S. Check us out if you're looking to find a new local band to love ;)

Email: DCadmin@DeceptiveCadence.net
Phone: (206) 973-7391

Deceptive Cadence is looking for a bassist to join the band. We'd like someone who has at least a couple years of experience, is able (and likes to) improv, is very dedicated, and has a fun personality. Our lead singer is currently playing bass but we'd like to venture into finding a more permanent bassist.

We intend to play some live shows a month or so after we lock-in our new member since we've already been offered several gigs. We'll head into the recording studio in September. This is for serious musicians only, if you're up to the challenge definitely check out our website to listen to our songs. Then send us a message to set up a jam session. We practice twice a week, currently in Tukwila near the South Center Mall. We look forward to meeting you!

Volunteer for the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival
Three Dollar Bill Cinema, producer of the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, is looking for volunteers for our festival in October, 2005. We need volunteers to help usher, sell tickets, distribute posters, assist with our computers, web, accounting and more!

Volunteering for the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival is a great way to make friends and meet new people. Festival volunteers earn coupons to see free movies, it's fun and you're supporting a good cause.

ALSO! Save the date for our Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 1515 12th Ave at 12 PM sharp! Between Pike and Pine Streets on Capitol Hill. At the volunteer orientation you will learn all about festival volunteer shifts and sign up for them, for the first time ever, online! So bring your wifi laptop too!

For more information email Cresdan Maite, MPA, Director of Volunteers, at info@seattlequeerfilm.org or call (206) 323-4274 #1.

Brain hurts. Of the past 72 hours, approximately 20 of them were spent at home. Of those, probably 16 were sleeping.

But damn, what a re-write! This newer version of my engine is just...awesome (if I do say so myself!). I am so excited by all the things I am learning both in class and out. I feel so alive

But so tired. Need more sleep. Must find less interesting code to work on. Argh.

Hopefully this won't seem too unrelated to the purpose of your community. However, if it does, I swear you simply must show up to this and you will understand how it relates. I ran into these kids last night, when they first told me of this. And now I'm here to spread the word!

Dress up and be ready to frolic.
Afterwards: a psychogeographical adventure, and more...

For further contact, call the squid:

Apparently, this is just the beginning in something pretty astonishing...
But I'll let you find out for yourself :-).

Greetings!!...(lame intro, but I only had a few seconds to think of one).

So...here I am yes, its true 7 year washington State resident ( and on all the appropriate medication)Ive lived in Auburn, Kent, Covington, Edgewood, Federal way I work in Bellevue and Think magnets are kinda freaky. ...not sure why I told ya all that but hell it doesn't matter because anyone who disagrees with the whole magnet deal will be attacked by a pack of rabid Voles....sorry, its the law.

Anyways.... I live in Edgewood which isn't really Seattle but its close and its like mother always said "Close the damned door" ...which has no bearing on this particular topic but she did say it allot.

I'll be back, ( Arnold stole that from me you know)

Can anybody share some insight?
Hey, I'm new here. I just joined because I've become interested in possibly moving to the Seattle area. I dont know much about the cities and counties of Washington so I figured the best thing would be to ask people who live there. I want the big city vibe but I dont want to pay big city prices. I'm an 18 year old female from San Diego. I'm looking for an area thats modern, rich with art, music, film, etc. Can anybody give me any suggestions on "happening, hip, young" areas? Or maybe even just a general description of some popular areas? I'm thinking my best bet is to live somewhere thats cheap, but close to where I'd want to spend most my time.
Thanks a lot.

Hi. I've come the realization that I'd like to widen my friends circle. So, here is my invitation to do so. I figured that I'd tell you a little about myself and if you find it interesting maybe we could add each other as friends and then become friends in day to day life.

I'm 20, female, a non-uptight vegan, book fiend, rave lovin'(except for Naft ones), d&b/trance-techno lovin', open minded, liberal, dancin', Seattlite womyn.

Behold The Buddha.
Alright. I just called and got the instructions for the most recent Oracle Gathering's Rave. But as I found out it is far far far away, and not that accessable by bus. I have a tentative ride, but it's not for sure and I wanted to make SURE I could go. If someone is willing to give me a ride to this gig I would be willing to put in a good sum money to foot the gas bill.

If you would like to help me out here leave me a number that I can reach you by at circe4u@hotmail.com. I will be checking my e-mail again no later than inbetween 5-6pm.
